“Thank You Dr. Rizk:

I had put off knee surgery for years, for fear of painful suffering. At 73 years old I decided to do research for a surgeon that was a specialist, with a public record for knowledge and care for his patients.

My husband did research on the internet to see the results of bone surgeons in Beaumont and Port Arthur, Texas area and Dr. Wagdy Rizk's portfolio revealed he was a knee surgeon specialist with no infections in the 13 years he has been practicing at Beaumont Bone & Joint Institute.

My recent operation was on a Monday morning. I was discharged from the Baptist hospital the next day, and did not need a walker or cane. I went to church services Wednesday night, and the people ask, "You didn't have your knee surgery?" When I affirmed that I did, they were amazed how I was walking normally for the first time in ten years.

My heartfelt thanks to Dr. Rizk and his wonderful staff for tenderly caring for me like family. I highly recommend Him, for he carefully prepares his patients to avoid infections and receive speedy healing. Thanks to God and him I am fully recovered after two months.

“On March 13, 2019 I had a right total hip replacement. Prior to having this surgery I walked at least 1 - 2 miles a day (4-5 days a week) at the mall and it was extremely painful. When Dr. Rizk told me that I needed a hip replacement I dreaded hearing that because I was afraid of how it would restrict my activities and how it would affect my lifestyle.

Before surgery I attended a class and was given literature on what to expect, exercises to do before and after surgery that would help speed up my recovery. Dr Rizk and his staff were so helpful and alleviated most of my concerns. I also went on the internet, checked out his website and investigated his credentials. His credentials are impeccable!

I had the surgery and was up walking and doing physical therapy 3 hours later. I was discharged from the hospital the next day! I took the pain medication for only 1 - 2 days after discharge and then I only needed Tylenol or Advil after that.

Therapy is the key to full recovery (YOU MUST DO THERAPY). I started back walking at the mall within 7 days after surgery, slowly with a walker and with a cane for 1 week and then I stopped using both by the second week after surgery. It's been 9 weeks since my hip replacement and I'm up to 2 - 3 miles a day for 4-5 days a week.

“I am writing this on behalf of Jeaux Stanton. Ms Stanton had hip replacement surgery on July 17, 2022 performed by Dr. Stephen Jones. Ms Stanton was released a week or so later to rehab at home. In September, she had a return visit to Jones due to problems with the stitching for a âwound washâ. Unknown to Ms Stanton or any other family member, Jones removed to ball joint that he had replaced in July and packed to hip with a cement antibiotic. To this date, Feb 2, the ball joint has not been replaced and Jones has made no effort to contact Ms Stanton to perform this surgery. Ms Stanton had been bed ridden and dependent on a wheelchair for over 6 months!! Dr. Jones has basically abandoned his patient and walked away without any consideration of the quality of life the Ms. Stanton is enduring. The family is requested that Jones be dismissed and a more competent and caring surgeon be assigned to this case at once. little did I know that this gentle, patient, nurse practioner, is married to Dr.Rizk. It is not too often to see husband and wife complement each other so well. “June 26, 2023 Dr. Rizk performed a complete hip replacement on my left hip. With Godâs help, Dr. Rizk completely changed my life. My body was completely out of alignment with the left leg being 2â shorter than the right leg. No other doctors had been able to diagnose my problem, not even Houston. However, I had a CAT scan done for another issue and brought it to Dr Rizk. He noticed that half of my hip was missing and said I needed a hip replacement. For years I had been in severe pain, had to wear special shoes with expensive lifts, and I was really handicapped. After surgery, Dr. Rizk realigned my legs with the new hip joint and now Iâm able to wear regular shoes again and Iâm also able to go barefooted which is something most of us take for granted. Dr. Rizk also cured my neuropathy I had in the left leg which was an unexpected blessing. All of the praise goes to God for Dr Rizkâs incredible skills and talents in surgery. “After a total left knee replacement at Fondren, I developed "Patellar Clunk Syndrome". I should have gone to Beaumont Bone & Joint as they did my right knee replacement almost 10 years ago and it has performed superbly. Anyway, for the left knee I decided to not go back to Fondren and instead have BB&J see what the problem was and offer a solution. Dr. Rizk agreed to see me and promptly diagnosed the condition. After physical therapy didn't resolve the condition, he performed arthroscopic surgery to remove the significant scar tissue causing the problem and that has solved the issue. I can now ride a bike, walk up and down stairs, eliminated pain and has generally made life much better.
